吴少湘简历
1957生，江西余干人，曾当农工、泥瓦工和木排工。1978年考入景德镇陶瓷学院美术系雕塑专业，四年后获学士学位。1985年考入北京中央工艺美术学院雕塑研究生，师从郑可教授。后获硕士学位并留校任教，加入中国美术家协会。80年代中期参与中国新潮美术运动，为新潮美术运动中最有影响力的雕塑家。1989 参加中国现代艺术大展后移居奥地利。1991年独创钱币雕塑而获国际影响，并被载入吉尼斯世界纪录。
现生活和工作于奥地利，柏林和北京， 任复旦上海视觉艺术学院兼职教授。

BIOGRAPHY
1957 Born in Jiangxi Province, China. Was deprived of schooling and sent to work as farmer, brick-layer and rafter.
1978-1982 Studied sculpture at the Jingdezhen Ceramics Institute China.
1984-1987 Pursued postgraduate studies under Professor Zheng Ke, Acquired the master of arts, lectured at The Central Academy of Arts and Design, Beijing.
1989 Participated "Avant-garde" exhibition. Moved to Austria after the "June 4" liberty revolution.
Lives and works in Austria and Beijing now, Guest professor in Shanghai Visual Art Institute of Fu Dan University.
